Monument Valley

Not much to say about Monument Valley that the photos don’t say better. You can see the monuments themselves for miles before you actually get into the area — rising up in the distance like strange, massive ghosts.

I camped at Goulding’s — a sort of mini-town centered around MV tourism. (Let’s put it this way — they have a sign by the highway that says “See John Waynes Cabin.”) I took their “Moonlight Tour” which was really more of a sunset tour — perfect for taking photos. Our guide, one of the Navajos from the reservation which encompases Monument Valley, was very cool and knew all the best photo stops.

Have a look at all the photos here.
