Here’s my overall itinerary.*
I’ll leave Mobile on Monday, May 16, and spend the next three days driving (most of that through Texas). The first park I’m visiting is Chaco Culture National Historic Park. From there, it’s on to Mesa Verde for a couple of days, then a night in Monument Valley, and on to the Grand Canyon. Next up are Zion and Bryce Canyon, then a (hopefully) relaxing night in Primm, NV at a casino hotel (mmm… buffet). I spend the next two weeks in California, visiting Sequoia and King’s Canyon, Yosemite, and my cousins (if they’re in town… if not, I’ll drive up the coast). Then I head to Corvallis, OR to visit my godmother for a few days. Next, three days in Olympic National Park, then eastward to Glacier. The last two parks are Yellowstone and Grand Teton, then it’s the loooong drive home. I plan to arrive back in State College on Saturday, June 25, at which point I will set my car and all my camping gear on fire and go to bed.
Just seeing if you were still paying attention.
* I do have pretty specific dates for most of this, but I don’t want to put them on the Internet. So if you have a good reason for wanting to know where I’m going to be on a particular day, email me… otherwise, bask in the vagueness.
